A little while ago I was asked by SHRINK the Church to write an article on the evolution of the worship leader and the christian worship sub culture (in my opinion). I had a lot of fun writing it and thought I would repost it here. Make sure to check out all the awesome articles over at SHRINK the Church. Continue reading 'The Evolution of the Worship Leader'
Last night at 10:16pm, Kingston Ryan Axtell was born at Banner Desert Hospital in Mesa, Az. He measured 7 lbs 15 ounces and 20.5 inches long. He came into the world peeing all over mom’s head…gotta work on that. Continue reading 'The King has come!'
So these last two weeks have been very interesting. Danielle and I are expecting our baby boy Kingston on Oct 5th, but were told by doctors a week ago that he could come ANY DAY! Well, nothing really new yet and its been lots of days. Continue reading 'Waiting for baby Kingston!'
June 10, I join a team of Cornerstone Young Adults on a mission trip to Erkrath, Germany. We will be partnering with a local church and Lead 222 to evangelize, run day camps for youth, and serve the city through various service projects. Please pray that God would prepare the way for us and give us the courage and ability to share the gospel.
It’s finally done! Chris Loope did an amazing job putting this EPK together. It does an amazing job of sharing the heart and the story behind what I do what I do! Hope you enjoy and let me know what you think!

I wanted to take a few moments to honor mothers who have lost, have had trouble conceiving, and those who had recently lost their mom’s. Mother’s Day 2009 was a tough one for my wife Danielle as she carried our firstborn who we knew would die any day from Hydrops. We ended up having a stillbirth 26 months into Continue reading 'Voicing the Pain'
I am currently exporting some of my soft synth/ambient/rhythm tracks from the “This Valley” protools files so I can play them live. I normally use Ableton Live to trigger my loops/tracks live, but the lately I’ve been having trouble making my loops warp to Ableton’s built in click (which I hacked and replaced with a Boss DB-90 rimshot sample). Sometimes it works, but almost any song in 6/8 won’t properly warp.
