#Dad #Musician #inthatorder

I took this picture late last night while demoing a new song….after Kingston and all the things that toddlers come with were wrangled into bed! Kingston’s high chair in the midst of my gear is a reminder of what matters as I enter into a season of creating another record! If any of the songs sound eerily similar to the Backyardigan’s theme song…You’ll know why!

Hey there Ryan…I love this post and respect you for posting it… Always keep this attitude…God #1, Danielle and Kingston #2.  Remembering that music and being a musician is what God called you to do, it’s your gift back to Him, like the little drummer boy! :)  I just like to speak from experience, my father was a minister when I was growing up, however he began to idolize the pulpit making the ministry all about him, then he strayed from his family and idolatry turned into adultery and lying…Our family is divided now, because he lost focus.  Please always keep your focus…I saw that James Patterson had this posted on his status once…it is so very true…
“Your wife and your children (if you have them) are God’s sanctified distractions from ministry idolatry.” @darrinpatrick  God Bless you in all you do Ryan…I find it a blessing to know you and to have you 1st CD…:)
